Description
The Movement Mentors Program is a volunteer organization that strives to bridge the gap between young boys and girls while encouraging them to lead a healthy lifestyle. Our experiences working with the children in our communities have inspired us to expand our mission and give back to the youth and families who are fighting the battles of pediatric cancer. Staying true to our roots, the Movement Mentors Program aims to inspire young people through volunteering, acts of service, and commitment, to make a positive impact that achieves more than we envisioned. We are proud to be a part of the magic that DanceBlue creates year after year, and we look forward to continuing our journey of service and inspiration.
DanceBlue
is a University of Kentucky student-run organization that fundraises year-round
and culminates in a 24-hour no sitting, no sleeping dance marathon. DanceBlue
raises funds and awareness for the fight against pediatric cancer while
supporting patients and families affected by it. The money raised through
DanceBlue is donated to the Golden Matrix Fund, established to support the kids
of the DanceBlue Hematology/Oncology Clinic at Kentucky Children's Hospital,
both today and well into the future. The Golden Matrix Fund supports
groundbreaking pediatric oncology research, enhances the patient experience,
and supports Clinic Operations. DanceBlue will continue to spread joy to those
fighting, to persevere in memory of the lives lost, and to celebrate every
victory until the battle against pediatric cancer is won.
A portion of the charitable gifts for DanceBlue will be invested in perpetuity to support pediatric cancer research and support.
